KIHEI, HAWAII--Everyone, it seems, is talking about the smash hit The Secret which is all about the law of attraction.  It has been featured on Oprah, Larry King and in Time Magazine. 

People are buzzing about this important film which made its way to the world stage in a big way.  It was a low-budget production created by a visionary Australian video producer who had passion and the determination to share a message with as many people as possible.

Her name is Rhonda Byrne and the story of how she came to make and distribute The Secret is a fascinating tale--one which utilizes the power of the law of attraction.

In early 2006 I got an email with a link to watch The Secret online.  As someone who has dedicated his life to media projects that make a difference, I was intrigued.

I clicked the link in the email and began watching a trailer for the film.  I was drawn in and as the program played on my computer, I realized that this was something very special.  Not only was the message on point, but the production value was high and many of the interview subjects in the film were acquaintances and personal friends of mine.  It looked like The Secret had the markings of a hit.

I picked up the phone and called Australia to get in touch with the producer.  Rhonda wasn't there, but I spoke with her co-producer and learned that Rhonda was actually in Los Angeles.  (Which is a lot closer to my home in Maui.)

I invited Rhonda to be a guest on a radio show I co-host here in Maui on KAOI Radio called "Conversations with Friends."  She agreed and we had a delightful conversation not only about the content of the movie, but about how she used the law of attraction to create and distribute the film.

It is a fascinating interview--and there are few other interviews that Rhonda has granted.  She actually doesn't like being in the lime-light and has preferred to let the teachers on The Secret represent the film in TV and radio appearances.
